Dark mode now available in Alrik Drive
We're pleased to announce that Alrik Drive now features dark mode. A small update that makes a real difference for drivers working in low-light conditions.
Why this matters
With winter here and mornings staying dark well into delivery hours, we know many of you are starting routes before sunrise. Dark mode helps reduce eye strain and distraction during these early hours.
Research from the University of Sheffield's Human Factors Department found that darker displays cause less distraction during nighttime driving and help drivers maintain better attention on the road. Additionally, studies show that bright screens in dark environments can be uncomfortable and distracting when pupils are naturally dilated for low-light conditions.
How to enable dark mode
First, you need to update Alrik Drive to the latest version! Then, simply navigate to “Settings” via the main navigation at the bottom of the home screen. From there you scroll down to the “Color scheme” setting and you’re done! Here you can switch between the different color schemes as you please.
